Portsmouth Academy start season with draw at AFC Bournemouth

Pompey Academy opened their Youth Allicance southwest division season with a goalless draw at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

The young Blues were in competitive action for the first time in more than six months after last campain was curtailed amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

And Pompey will have been pleased with a stalemate at the Championship side’s under-18s at the Canford Arena.

The young Blues travel to Cheltenham Town next weekend.
