Ertl speaks of Pompey '˜pride' at MK Dons result

Johnny Ertl insists Pompey can be proud of their MK Dons draw, despite letting a two-goal lead slip.

Michael Appleton’s men raced into a 2-0 lead after Izale McLeod and Gabor Gyepes netted in the opening 20 minutes.

The scoreline could have been even greater had Brian Howard not struck an early penalty against the post.

Yet Adam Webster’s own goal reduced the deficit for Karl Robinson’s men, who then went on to level in the 72nd minute through Darren Potter.

The Blues found it tough during the second half against a Dons side who enjoyed plenty of possession.

Nonetheless, they claimed a point at the promotion hopefuls and Ertl is adamant it is a result to be applauded.

He said: ‘I think we have got to look at it from the positive side because before the game we would have taken a point.
