Cook’s side have struggled for success on the road, however, so far, winning one of their six away games to date.
That’s in contrast to last season when they picked up 41 points on their travels – a total beaten by just four sides.
Cook acknowledged his team’s away form has been short of what’s expected.

Cook said: ‘We are doing our best to improve. We’ve never dominated a game.
‘The time we’ve looked like doing it was Morecambe away but we were 2-0 down.
‘When you look at away performances last season, like Plymouth, we looked a good team. We were the better side. This season it’s been bitty. Scrappy.

Pompey have no new injury worries going into tonight’s game. That means Gary Roberts and Conor Chaplin are set to continue after striking up a promising partnership on Saturday.
Cook said: ‘It’s partnerships across the pitch. If you watch clips of our games, certain lads will always do certain things.
‘Within our squad we have good players. What we have to do is make the balance of the team correct.’
