Young dad's horror as throat is slit after road rage incident in Chichester
Owen Scrivens, 19, was driving with his partner Emily Smith, 20, and baby son Jaxson in Chichester when the drama unfolded.
The care assistant went into the opposite lane to pass parked cars, when an overtaking biker lashed out with his hand, destroying the teenager’s wing mirror.

Hide AdShards of glass then flew through the car’s open window, narrowly missing the sleeping seven-month-old baby on Friday afternoon.
But as Mr Scrivens, of Poulner Close, Felpham, pulled over, he saw the his neck had been slashed open and he was bleeding profusely.
Speaking to The News, he said: ‘I looked down and I was covered in blood.
‘I started panicking and went into shock. I walked round to see if Jaxson okay and I could just see blood squirting from my neck.
‘My lips turned blue and I thought I was going to die.’

Hide AdFriends and passersby stopped to aid the injured dad, with one woman using a nappy to stem the bleeding.
The biker never stopped and police are now appealing for help in finding him.
Mr Scrivens, who hopes to one day become a paramedic, was rushed to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.
‘The consultant said if the cut had been an inch to the left or right I could have died or had life-changing injuries, I was very lucky,’ he added.

Hide AdGirlfriend Emily said: ‘It was like being in a horror film. The blood had squirted everywhere in the car.
‘Owen could’ve died and my son could’ve been without a dad for the rest of his life.’
The suspect was dressed all in black, wore a black helmet and rode a black bike.
He drove north along Summersdale Road then left into the Broadway. Witnesses can call police on 101, quoting 864 of 05/08.
