EMERGENCY response teams scrambled to Tipner following reports of people stuck in the mud - but found that it was just a false alarm.

Two fire engines and a response support vehicle were called to an area of shoreline at 10:50pm last night following a report that people might be stuck in the mud.

After crews carried out a search of the area using thermal imaging cameras, the report turned out to be a false alarm and no one was found.
