Leigh Park stabbing: Woman, 33, from Havant arrested in George Allison murder case

Officers are continuing to investigate a knife attack that killed 21-year-old George Allison and seriously injured a 27-year-old woman in Tichborne Grove, Leigh Park, on Saturday May 23.
On arrival officers found the pair had sustained stab wounds, with George Allison, from Riders Lane, pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdThe arrested 33-year-old woman from Havant will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court to face a charge of assisting an offender on August 27.
Kevin Joseph Batchelor, a 22-year-old resident of Cambourne, Cornwall, has been charged with murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is due to go on trial at Winchester Crown Court on November 9.
Offices have also charged two further men, Barry Baker, 38, of Oracle Drive, Waterlooville, and Lewis Turner, 32, of Camelford, Cornwall, with assisting an offender.

Hide AdA spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘They have both been bailed to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on 27 August.’
A 32-year-old woman from Waterlooville who had been previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender will face no further action.
Paying tribute to George on social media, family members have described the father-of-two as someone who had the ‘biggest heart' and will be missed by everyone.
