Hide AdScott, who is from Havant and set up his business in 2013, said: ‘I want to do something for the community. A lot of older people get ripped off by big companies and don’t realise these checks have to be carried out for safety.
‘The carbon monoxide alarms save lives, it’s really important for people to have them.
‘I’ve helped two people so far and I want to help one a week for the foreseeable future.
‘I want people to get in touch with me if they fit the criteria, and those who have relatives in need can also do the same.
‘It makes me feel good to know I’m doing something good.’

Hide AdMr Ware gave 74-year-old Val Toovey from Purbrook a free gas safety check last week.
She said: ‘Sometimes I feel threatened by people I don’t know coming into my home, but Scott was lovely. It was like talking to my grandson, who set it all up.
‘Scott sorted everything out for me and I felt completely comfortable around him. I’d recommend him to anyone.’
Heating Plumbing Supplies in Havant will be supplying the carbon monoxide and smoke alarms to Mr Ware for free.
